Teacher performed multiple sex acts on student’ during summer holidays

Cops have charged a teacher on suspicion of performing sex acts on a former student.

Kara Walton, 33, was apprehended following allegations she had illicit encounters with the student between March 24 and June 11.

North Carolina officers did not reveal further information about the ex- Pamlico County High School student.

Walton, who is married, turned herself in last Friday.

District Attorney Scott Thomas said, Pamlico County Sheriff officers arrested her after being alerted by school officials.

Parents were furious after learning about Walton’s arrest on June 14 – three days after school ended for the summer holidays – and said they were scared for their children’s safety.

Walton resigned from the school in June after her contract with the school came to an end.
